Session 1804 <br />February 26, 2001 <br /> <br />CITY CLERK'S DOCKET: <br /> <br />BILLS FOR SECOND AND THIRD READING: <br /> <br />BILL # 8509 - AMENDING CHAPTER 2.64 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE, <br />RELATING TO THE NONUNIFORMED EMPLOYEES RETIREMENT SYSTEM, <br />BY REPEALING 2.64.070 THEREOF, RELATING TO CREDITABLE SERVICE, <br />SECTION 2.64.090, RELATING TO NORMAL SERVICE RETIREMENT, <br />SECTION 2.64.110, RELATING TO DISABILITY RETIREMENT, 2.64.130, <br />RELATING TO OPTIONAL FORM OF PENSION, SECTION 2.64.140, <br />RELATING TO EMPLOYEES LEAVING EMPLOYMENT OTHER THAN BY <br />DEATH OR RETIREMENT, AND SECTION 2.64.150, RELATING TO <br />REDUCTION OF BENEFITS FOR MILITARY DISABILITY COMPENSATION, <br />AND ENACTING NEW SECTIONS KNOWN AS THE SAME SO AS TO <br />INCREASE THE PENSION OF PARTICIPANTS WHO TERMINATED AFTER <br />JANUARY 1, 2000, AND SO AS TO REPLACE THE DISABILITY RETIREMENT <br />PLAN WITH A DISABILITY INSURANCE POLICY. <br /> <br />Mayor Adams stated that there is an amendment needed for the last paragraph of this <br />ordinance. Mr. Schoomer moved approval of the amendment. Mr. Munkel seconded <br />the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />The amended bill was given its second reading. <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff said that this ordinance will increase the pensions for city employees <br />other than police or firefighters. <br /> <br />The amended bill was given its third reading. <br /> <br />Mr. Schoomer moved adoption. Mr. Sharpe seconded the motion. The roll call vote <br />was as follows: AYES: Ms. Colquitt, Mr. Munkel, Mr. Wagner, Mr. Lieberman, Mr. <br />Schoomer, Mr. Sharpe and Mayor Adams. NAYS: none. Bill number 8509 passed and <br />became Ordinance number 6286. <br /> <br />BILL NO. 8510 - PROVIDING AN ADDITIONAL PROCESS TO RECOVER THE <br />COSTS OF SUCH REMOVAL AND ABATEMENT OF CERTAIN NUISANCES. <br /> <br />This bill was given its second reading. <br />This bill was given its third reading. <br /> <br /> <br />
