RESOLUTION 2015 - 4 <br /> The matter of establishing a neighborhood improvement district in University Heights <br /> Subdivision Number Two was considered. <br /> After a review and general discussion of the matter, Councilmember Sharpe offered the <br /> following resolution and moved its adoption. <br /> BE IT RESOLVED: That the Council of the City of University City, Missouri, finds and <br /> declares as follows: <br /> 1. On April 28, 2014, a neighborhood improvement district in the University Heights <br /> Subdivision Number Two (the "Subdivision") was lawfully established by Resolution <br /> No. 2014-6, at which time the preliminary plans and specifications for the proposed <br /> improvement plans were provided to Council. <br /> 2. The general nature of the proposed improvement is as follows: the repair and <br /> replacement of driveway aprons, sidewalks, and curbs that are significantly damaged, <br /> non-functional or exhibit more than minor cracks; milling and repaving of the north <br /> side of the 6900 block of Kingsbury according to the City's Public Works <br /> Department's specifications and design standards for public property of this nature; <br /> repair and relocation of the street light in front of 6925 Kingsbury; and engineering <br /> and inspection of all work to insure that required standards are met. <br /> 3. On May 27, 2014, by Resolution 2014-15, the proposed improvement was ordered to <br /> be made in accordance with the plans and specifications of the improvement project <br /> entitled "6900 Kingsbury Improvement Project" attached thereto, with a revised <br /> estimated cost of$51,000.00. <br /> 4. Construction of the improvement has been completed in accordance with the plans <br /> and specifications therefor. The final cost of the improvement is $55,035.90, which <br /> does not exceed the original estimated cost of$51,000 by more than 25%. The final <br /> cost was computed as follows: <br /> Item Cost <br /> Sidewalks (Concrete Design) $ 25,545.00 <br /> Street (Byrne and Jones) $ 22,359.75 <br /> Streetlight (Superior Restoration Remodeling) $ 3,450.00 <br /> Construction Engineering (ABNA) $ 3,681.15 <br /> Total $ 55,035.90 <br />
