Session 1812 <br />May 21, 2001 <br /> <br />CONFIRMATION OF CALOP COMMISSION ASSIGNMENT BY THE SCHOOl <br /> <br />DISTRICT: <br /> <br />Mr. Lieberman moved the confirmation of Dr. Vern Moore's appointment of Dr. Karol <br />Walters to hold the school district liaison position on the City's Committee for Access <br />and Local Origination Programming commission. Mr. Sharpe seconded the motion, <br />which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORTS: <br /> <br />AGENDA #1 - CONSENT CALENDAR: <br /> <br />#1 - Microsurfacinq and Thermoplastic Stripinq at Various Locations: The tabulation of <br />bid proposals for the above named project is as follows: <br /> <br />Missouri Petroleum Products Co., LLC ................. $224,279.83 <br />Micro-Surfacing, Inc ................................ $247,967.06 <br /> <br />Engineer's Estimate ............................... $273.126.08 <br /> <br />Funding for this project is from General Revenue Funds. Mr. Ollendorff recommends <br />that this project be awarded to Missouri Petroleum Products Co., LLC for their Iow bid of <br />$224,279.83. <br /> <br />Mr. Schoomer moved adoption of the consent calendar. Mr. Wagner seconded the <br />motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />AGENDA #2 - PUBLIC HEARING - ANNUAL BUDGET: <br /> <br />The City Council invites interested citizens to present their views on the City budget for <br />the year beginning July 1,2001. City Council will take all comments under advisement <br />as they review budget proposals later this month. <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff reported that he did receive a telephone request from a citizen that <br />suggested that we consider spending money to improve Olive Street which will create <br />more revenue so that the City would not have to raise taxes in the future. <br /> <br />Mayor Adams declared the public hearing opened at 7:43 p.m. and immediately closed <br />it due to no responses. <br /> <br /> <br />
