SESST(~ 1507 MINUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY u~'x'i COUNCIL November 20, 1989 At a regular meeting of the city Council of university city held in the Assem- bly Roc~ of City Hall un Monday, Nove~_r 20, 1989, Mayor Janet Majerus pre- sided and called the meeting to order at 7:37 p.m. In addition to the Mayor, the following members of the Council we~ present: Mr. Bk~, R. Price* Mr. Joseph L. ~ms, Jr. Mr. Robert G. Wagner Mrs. Mary V. Sch~man Mrs. Betty L. Tn~,~son *Councilmamber Price arrived at 7:56 p.m. Also present was. City Manager Frank Olle~dorff. No l~e~ were ready for al~r~val. Mr. Wagner moved the appointment of Mr'. Arthur E. Kramer, 7114 Waterman, to the Board of Tr~s~es of the Uniformed and Non-Uniformed E~ployees Retirement Funds for a term ending July 1, 1993. Mr. ~a~s seconded the motion, which carried unanim~ly. Mrs. ~%m~an iaoved the reappointments of Ms. Mary Gass, 6304 Wes~mt~nster, and Ms. Carol Euncan, 7433 Amherst, to the Historic Preservation Commission for terms expiring September 9, 1992. Mr. Schoc~uer seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. The city Clerk administered the oath of office to Ms. Carrie Warford, recently appointed to the Civil Service Board; M~. (hal:les Foxworth, recently appointed to the Plan C~,~ssion; and to MS. Ca~>l I~=vinson, recently appointed to the Industrial Development Authority and Tax Increment Financing C~,.~ssion. Mayor Majerus thanked the new members for volunteering their service, and said the work of the .Council would cc~ue to a halt without the help of the City's 1~ ~ c~.~,~,~iesions. OATHS OF O~CE - POLICE DEPARTMENT Mayor Majerus asked Robert McAllister and his wife to come forward. She ad- ministered the oath of office to Mr. ~-3kllister as a new police sargeant.
