~ICB 1500 <br /> <br />MINUTES OF ~E UNIVEBSiTY u.I.'.u~' OiX~CIL <br /> <br /> July 24, 1989 <br /> <br />At a regular meet/rig of the City Council of University city held in the ass~ <br />bly Rocm of City Hall on Monday, July 24, 1989, Mayor Janet Majerus presided <br />and called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. In addition to the Mayor, the <br />following members of the Oouncil were present: <br /> <br /> Mr. Joseph L. ;u~s, Jr. <br /> Mr. Robert G. Wagner <br /> Mrs. Mary V. Schuman <br /> Mr. Paul E. Schocmer <br /> Mrs. Betty L. <br /> <br />Also present was city Manager Frank Ollendorff. <br /> <br />Mr. A~t~ms moved that the m/nutes of July 10, 1989 be approved as submitted. <br />Mr. Wagner seconded the motion, which carried urk3nimcusly. <br /> <br />Mr. A~s moved that Ms. Andrea Rather, 7336 Northmoor, be reappointed to the <br />Board of Adjustment for a term expiring July 7, 1994. Mrs. schuraa~ secor~ed <br />the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. A~nms moved the reappoin~nents of Ms. Tracy Mathis, 836 Wild Cherry; Mr. <br />Edward C. Lehmuth, Jr., 7269 Princeton; and Ms. Susan T. Schmalz, 7349 Stan- <br />ford, to the Board of Building Code Appeals. MS. Mathls' term will expire on <br />August 1, 1993, and those of Mr. L~hmuth and Ms. Schmalz on August 1, 1994. <br />Mr. Wagner seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. James D. Cherry, recently reappointed to the T,ihrary Board, was given the <br />oath of office by the City Clerk. <br /> <br />F~yor Majerus said she was delighted Mr. Cherry has agreed to serve again, <br />noting that reports she has received indicate he is an outstanding member of <br /> <br />PRDCLAMATION - MEALS ON WH,:,:,.~ T~TH ANNi~ <br /> <br />Mayor Majerus drew attention to the University city F~ls on Wheels pro~z~m, <br />which is celebrating its tenth anniversary. She said few other oz~3anizations <br />did such a superb job with volunteers, and t_hat they justly deserved a great <br />deal more recognition than they usually got. After asking local representa- <br />tives Mrs. Gel Herbig and Mrs. A~ele Reilly to cc~e forward, she read a proc- <br />lamation honoring this fine ozw~nization. There was a round of applause. <br /> <br /> <br />
