Session 1813 <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />June 4, 2001 <br /> <br />At a regular meeting of the City Council of University City held in the Council Chambers <br />of City Hall on Monday, June 4, 2001, Mayor Joseph L. Adams called the meeting to <br />order at 7:30 p.m. In addition to the Mayor, the following members of the Council were <br />present: <br /> Ms. Cassandra Colquitt <br /> Mr. Wayne Munkel <br /> Mr. Robert Wagner <br /> Mr. Larry Lieberman <br /> Mr. Paul Schoomer <br /> Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr. <br /> <br />Also present was City Manager Frank Ollendorff. <br /> <br />MINUTES: <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner moved approval of the minutes from the budget study session of May 16, <br />2001. Mr. Schoomer seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Sharpe moved approval of the minutes from the budget study session of May <br />21,2001. Mr. Wagner seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION - ESTABLISHING INVESTMENT ACCOUNTS FOR FIRE AND POLICE <br /> <br />EMPLOYEES WITH THE ICMA RETIREMENT TRUST: <br /> <br />The City Clerk read a resolution dealing with setting up new investment accounts for fire <br />and police employees. These accounts will be used for retirement purposes. <br /> <br />Mr. Schoomer moved adoption. Mr. Lieberman seconded the motion. <br /> <br />Responding to Mr. Lieberman, Mr. Ollendorff reported that they had a near unanimous <br />signup for this new pension program. This will allow these employees to be able to <br />invest some of their own funds. This will be managed by ICMA Retirement Trust. <br /> <br />The motion to adopt carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />
