RESOLUTION 2015- 19 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY <br /> ADOPTING THE ST.LOUIS REGIONAL ALL-HAZARD <br /> MITIGATION PLAN 2015-2020(UPDATED 2015) <br /> WHEREAS, the City of University City recognizes the threat that natural hazards pose to people <br /> and property within the City of University City. <br /> WHEREAS,the City of University City has participated in the preparation of a multi- hazard <br /> mitigation plan,hereby known as the St. Louis Regional All-Hazard Mitigation Plan 2015-2020 <br /> (hereafter referred to as the Plan) in accordance with the Disaster Mitigation Act of 2000. <br /> WHEREAS,the Plan identifies mitigation goals and actions to reduce or eliminate long-term <br /> risk to people and property in the City of University City from the impacts of future hazards and <br /> disasters. <br /> WHEREAS,the City of University City recognizes that land use policies have a major impact on <br /> whether people and property are exposed to natural hazards,the City of University City will endeavor to <br /> integrate the Plan into the comprehensive planning process. <br /> WHEREAS, adoption by the City of University City demonstrates their commitment to hazard <br /> mitigation and achieving the goals outlined in the Plan. <br /> NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> UNIVERSITY CITY,MISSOUR,AS FOLLOWS: <br /> The City of University City hereby adopts the St. Louis Regional All-Hazard Mitigation Plan 2015-2020 <br /> in accordance with the Disaster Mitigation Act of 2000. <br /> This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage by the City Council and <br /> signature by the Mayor. <br /> Adopted this 3rd day of August, 2015. <br /> (SEAL) <br /> Mayor <br /> ATTEST: \� <br /> 1 l <br /> Ctierk <br /> • <br />
