0 <br /> k <br /> i <br /> 2.62.220 Credit During Military Service <br /> i <br /> Notwithstanding any other provision of the Plan to the contrary, effective as of December <br /> 12, 1994, contributions, benefits, and service credit with respect to qualified military <br /> service shall be provided in accordance with Code §414(u). If a Participant who is absent <br /> from employment as an Employee because of military service dies after December 31, <br /> 2006, while performing qualified military service (as defined in Code §414(u)), the <br /> Participant shall be treated as having returned to employment as an Employee on the day <br /> immediately preceding his death for purposes of determining the Participant's vested t <br /> interest in his Accrued Benefit and his Beneficiary's eligibility for a survivor benefit <br /> under the Plan. Notwithstanding the foregoing, such a Participant shall not be entitled to I: <br /> additional accruals with respect to his period of military leave. <br /> i <br /> 2.62.230 Service Records <br /> Each employee shall furnish a statement within ninety (90) days containing such <br /> information as requested by the board of trustees. These statements shall be checked and <br /> verified and, if approved by the board of trustees shall become a part of the permanent <br /> files of the board. The proper officials and employees of the city shall cooperate in <br /> supplying information concerning such service records. p <br /> I <br /> 2.62.240 Repayment of Contributions Withdrawn—Reinstated Employment <br /> 1 <br /> Any former employee who is reinstated in the police or fire department within two years t <br /> after termination of his or her employment shall be required as a condition of the <br /> reemployment to deposit the amount of any withdrawal made under Section 2.62.450, <br /> and shall be credited with his or her years of prior service. If reinstatement occurs after <br /> two years, the former employee shall come in as a new employee without credit for prior <br /> service; and such prior service shall not be considered for any purposes under this <br /> uniformed pension plan. <br /> Effective for plan years beginning after December 31, 1997, repayment under this <br /> provision may be made by a trustee-to-trustee transfer from a Code Section 403(b) <br /> annuity or a Code Section 457 deferred compensation plan maintained by a State or local <br /> government employer within Missouri for repayment of a cashout from this plan under <br /> section 415(k)(3). <br /> 2.62.300 Contributions <br /> Each employee required to shall be assessed and ired to payinto the police and firefighters' <br /> q <br /> retirement fund, created pursuant to this chapter, a sum equal to (l) in the case of an <br /> employee for whom an investment account is established under Section 2.62.630.A, five <br /> percent of his or her compensation; or (2) in the case of any other employee, five percent <br /> of the base salary. An employee described in (2) of the preceding sentence who has <br /> contributed for thirty (30) years to this fund shall be excused from any further <br /> contributions to the fund.
