<br /> <br />7. Other Business <br /> <br />7.a. Presentation Gateway Bike Plan (regional plan for bicycle routes) <br /> <br />Mr. Greatens stated that the presentation regarding the Gateway Bike Plan was an <br />informational item only and no vote from the Plan Commission was requested. <br /> <br />Mr. Paul Wojciechowski with ALTA Planning and Design provided a presentation about the <br />Gateway Bike Plan including a summary of the plan, projects that had been implemented, and <br />proposed projects. He added that there were education opportunities available for communities <br />to take advantage of and that performance of implementation actions were measured based on <br />safety-related statistics. <br /> <br />Questions / Comments and Discussion <br /> <br /> <br />-Plan Commission members asked about funding for projects. Mr. Wojciechowski stated <br />that the plan was important for funding projects because funding agencies always ask if the <br />proposed improvements are shown on a plan. <br /> <br />-Plan Commission members asked about maximum speed of roads for proposed <br />improvements. Mr. Wojciechowski stated that improvements were typically made on roads <br />with a speed limit of 35 mph or less. <br /> <br />7.b. Public Comments <br /> <br />There were no additional public comments. <br /> <br />8. Reports <br /> <br />8.a. Code Review Committee Report <br />None <br /> <br />8.b. Comprehensive Plan Committee Report <br /> <br /> <br />Mr. Lai stated that a public forum for realtors was held on April 15 that was well attended with <br />a great deal of valuable feedback provided. He stated that the deadline for receiving surveys <br />and public comments was April 18. <br /> <br />8.c. Council Liaison Report <br /> None <br /> <br />8.d. Department Report <br /> <br />Mr. Lai stated that the Conditional Use Permit for a pizza restaurant in The Loop considered by <br />the Plan Commission at the March meeting was approved by Council with revisions to the <br />conditions including no outdoor speakers and no outdoor dining allowed on Westgate Avenue. <br />He also stated that a public hearing was held at the last City Council meeting for the Text <br />Amendments related to off-street parking requirements and the ordinance had its first reading. <br /> <br />9.
