Session 1825 <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />November 19, 2001 <br /> <br />At a regular meeting of the City Council of University City held in the Council Chambers <br />of City Hall on Monday, November 19, 2001, Mayor Joseph L. Adams called the <br />meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. In addition to the Mayor, the following members of the <br />Council were present: <br /> Ms. Cassandra Colquitt <br /> Mr. Wayne Munkel <br /> Mr. Robert Wagner <br /> Mr. Larry Lieberman <br /> Mr. Paul Schoomer <br /> Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr. <br /> <br />EXCUSED: City Manager Frank Ollendorff. Also present was Assistant City Manager <br />Julie Szymula. <br /> <br />MINUTES: <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner moved approval of the November 5, 2001 regular session minutes. Mr. <br />Schoomer seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION - CERTIFICATION OF NOVEMBER 6, 2001 ELECTION RESULTS: <br /> <br />Mayor Adams read a resolution which acknowledges the election results for the <br />November 6'h election. The bond issue for Loop parking improvements called <br />Proposition P failed to receive the 66.67% majority to pass. The two sales taxes, one <br />for fire service equipment and one for storm sewer and park improvements, Proposition <br />F and Proposition R respectively both passed by a simple majority. <br /> <br />Mr. Sharpe moved adoption. Mr. Wagner seconded the motion, which carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORTS: <br /> <br />AGENDA #1 - PUBLIC HEARING - 1100 81sT STREET: <br /> <br />A public hearing has been set for 7:30 p.m. this date and place to receive comments on <br />the Plan Commission recommendation to rezone this mostly vacant 2.23 acre parcel <br />from single family residential to limited residential in order to allow attached two family <br />dwellings to become a permitted use. The lot sizes and setbacks would not change <br />under this rezoning. A precise development plan must be reviewed by the City Council <br />before construction will be approved, however, it's contemplated that the property is <br />large enough to permit nine lots plus a common area.
