Session 1824
November 5, 2001

Joan Botwinick, 511 Westview Dr., stated, as contact person for the University View
Neighborhood Association, she feels that this office building will be a good project,
however, she feels that the exiisting traffic problem at Old Bonhomme and Delmar will
be exacerbated without any preventative measures. A possible no left turn sign or a
protected left turn signal may be needed. She requests that the City review this closely
to come up with some safe solutions.

Mr. Munkel said one of the tenants is a dentist and most of the comings and goings will
be for appointments probably during the lunch hour and he doesn't see this affecting the
traffic. Mr. Wagner stated that: he felt this area's biggest problem wasn't at lunch, but
around the rush hours and he requested the City Manager, along with the County, to
look at putting a left turn arrow at this intersection.

Responding to Mr. Wagner, Mr. Munkel stated that is an auto repair site now, but the
old building is to be torn down and a new one built in its place and it will not be an auto
repair facility.

Responding to Mr. Schoomer, Mr. Ollendorff stated that he does not know what the
value of this property will be, but it will clearly be a more valuable property after it's
redeveloped than it is currently. This is precisely the kind of development that our
Comprehensive Plan calls for, which we definitely need.

Mayor Adams also believes this intersection requires further study.

The motion to approve carried unanimously'.

AGENDA ITEM #4 - 630 NORTH & SOUTH LIQUOR LICENSE:

The new owners of the restaurant have applied for a license to sell all types of alcoholic
beverages at retail by the drink. They appear to meet all ordinance requirements and
have been found to be of good character through a thorough police check. There have
been no problems related to the sale of alcoholic beverages at this location in the past.
Approval may be granted by the City Council at this time.

Mr. Schoomer moved approval. Mr. Munkel seconded the motion, which carried
unanimously.

CITIZEN COMMENTS:

Eric Mosely, 7709 Trenton, is very concerned about carelessness of pit bull owners who
allow their dogs to run free on occasion. He feels pit bulls are dangerous and has
attacked his own dog that was chained to the porch. The City's laws are not being
enforced. These same dogs have chased his wife into the house from the car. He had

4
