Public Works Director Evelyn Shields-
Benford will be present with representatives from the Corps. of Engineers
and MSD to discuss the funding of a multi-million dollar planning and
construction process for the River. The study session information is
included with this packet.

The March 19 Council agenda packet is included with this weekly report because
the City Clerk and I will be out of town next week. The agenda includes the list of
recreation fees and charges for review at your March 19 Council meeting. At the
February 27, 2007 Park Commission meeting the Park Commission reviewed
rec. programfee adjustments
and unanimously approved the . Most of the
programs highlighted in blue were new for the current program session that
began in January. The softball leagues on page two have been in effect for a
couple of years and have not been included in the list by oversight. The fees
highlighted in yellow are new programs or programs with fee changes. Some are
aquatic programs we will include in our summer Recreation Guide and some are
program fee changes that will not go into effect until next fiscal year. The guide
will be delivered in May. As you will note there are no changes proposed for golf
but Ron Akin, our Golf Professional, has been encouraged to offer specials which
will increase our rounds played at Ruth Park Golf Course. No changes are
proposed at the Community Center or for Aquatics with the exception of the
introduction of some new programs. If you have any questions do not hesitate to
contact Parks and Recreation Director Nancy MacCartney at 505-8616.
