For your information, the results of this <br />secret ballot election were as follows: <br />Eligible Voters: 150 <br />Valid Votes Cast: 119 <br /> Against <br />Votes the Union: 99 <br /> For <br />Votes the Union: 20 <br />Challenged Votes: 6 <br />Until the Missouri Labor and Industrial Relations Commission officially certifies <br />the results of the March 21 election, rules in effect before the election still apply, <br />so the City is not permitted to say much about the election results or to make any <br />definitive statements about moving forward from this point. During the 10 days <br />following the election, the SEIU has the opportunity to make legal or procedural <br />objections to the election or the election results. I will keep you informed of any <br />developments and let you know when the results are final. Our employees are to <br />be commended for their professionalism and continued high level of performance <br />during the last several months. Despite the SEIU electioneering creating <br />distractions and creating pressures on the employees, they continued to provide <br />the same high quality of service to our citizens. <br /> <br /> <br />
