neighborhood plan
evaluation, monitoring and
updating
In order to track and evaluate how
recommendations of the plan are being
implemented and to measure the effects of
strategies once they have been carried out,
a plan monitoring and evaluation process
has been established. This process has a
two-fold purpose. The first is to monitor the
progress of projects contained in the plan.
Keeping track of the proposed projects is
critical to ensure that strategies are
implemented. The second purpose is to
evaluate the impact that projects have in
relationship to neighborhood goals and
objectives. This information will enable the
City to continually reevaluate the needs of
the study area.
To carry out this process, a progress report
will be prepared annually by the Community
Development Department and presented to
study area residents at neighborhood
meetings. The report will include:
A review of goals and objectives;
A review of each strategy, including
what was accomplished; and
Recommendations for new projects or
revised objectives.
This information will be available and
distributed in a number of formats and
outlets.
