A bill was introduced by Ms. Colquitt, entitled: AN ORDINANCE IMPOSING A ONE-FOUIFRTH OF ONE PERCENT SALES TAX ON ALL RETAIL SALES MADE IN THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY WHICH ARE SUBJECT TO TAXATION UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 144.010 TO 144.525 RSMO, FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING REVENUES FOR THE OPERATION OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY FIRE DEPARTMENT, AND PROVIDING FOR THE SUBMISSION OF A PROPOSmON AUTHORIZING SUCH TAX TO THE QUALIFIED VOTERS OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY AT THE SUPPLEMENTAL ELECTION ON NOVEMBER 6, 2001. A bill was introduced by Mr. Lieberrnan, entitled: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 110.44 OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY CODE RELATING TO PARKING RESTRICTIONS ON SPECIFIC STREETS, BY REPEALING SECTION 10.44.020 THEREOF, RELATING TO PARKING PROHIBITED ON CERTAIN STREETS DURING DESIGNATED HOURS, AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW SECTION TO BE KNOWN AS "SECTION 10.44.020 PARKING PROHIBITED ON CERTAIN STREETS DURING DESIGNATED HOURS," THEREBY AMENDING SAID SECTION SO AS TO RFMOVE THE PROHIBITION ON PARKING DURING DESIGNATED HOURS ON THE STREET ADJACENT TO 7042 WESTMORELAND DRIVE; CONTAINING A SAVING CLAUSE AND PROVIDING A PENALTY. REQUEST CONCERNING LELAND NURSING HOME DEATHS: Mr. Munkel requested that the City Manager set up a meeting with Bob McCullough's office regarding why charges haven't been filed in the deaths of four residents and what the status of the case is at the present. Mr. Ollendorff will look into it. EXECUTIVE SESSION: Mr. Wagner moved to go into executive session at 9:25 p.m. to discuss personnel, legal and real estate matters per RSMO 610.021 (1,2 and 3).
