Prior to your May 7 <br />CALOP <br />Council meeting you will receive a update from Interim Chair Nickels. <br /> <br />th <br />For the May 7 Council meeting background information for a presentation by Assistant <br />Senior Medical Transportation. <br />to the City Manager Petree Eastman regarding She <br />will be present her findings to Council on Monday, May 7 during the City Manager’s <br />report. <br /> <br />School Board <br />The Mayor and I met with the President and Superintendent on <br /> <br />Wednesday. The District asked that we cancel the Tuesday, May 8joint study session <br />on educational larceny. No alternate dates have been provided at this time. During our <br />meeting I presented eight teen recreation programs for their consideration. They <br />contacted me today, to let me know the District will fund the $4,343 to provide the <br />programs, so planning is currently underway. <br /> <br />We hired a structural engineer to provide an assessment of the bays in Fire House #1. <br />The initial assessment indicated that it was no longer safe to keep the ladder truck in <br />ladder truck <br />the bay. Until the final report is complete, the will be housed at Fire House <br />#2 on North and South. <br /> <br />Green Center Spring Arts Festival <br /> is this Sunday, May 6 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at The <br />Green Center. Poet and performer Surreal Sista (Stephanie Williams) will lead <br />workshops for youth and families on writing poetry that interweaves the social and <br />scientific. The UCHS Jazz Band will perform outside in the gardens surrounding the <br />building. Also on display will be artwork created by Flynn Park students as part of their <br />on-going collaboration with the Green Center. <br /> <br />
