<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />MINUTES OF UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br />STUDY SESSION <br />May 18, 2007 <br /> <br /> <br />The Council Study Session, held in the EOC Room of the City Hall, on Friday, May 18, 2007, <br />was called to order by Mayor Adams at 3:00 p.m. In addition to Mayor Adams, the following <br />members of the Council were present: <br /> Mr. Robert Wagner <br /> Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr. <br /> Ms. Stefany Brot <br /> Mr. Michael Glickert <br /> Mr. Byron Price <br /> Ms. Lynn Ricci <br /> <br />Also present were City Manager Ms. Julie Feier and Director of Finance/Deputy City Manager <br />Janet Watson. <br /> <br />The Study Session was the second of the two scheduled meetings to review the draft FY <br />2007-2008 Budget of University City. <br /> <br />At this session the Council reviewed the remaining funds: Internal Service Fund, Pension <br />Funds, Debt Service Fund, Special Districts, Economic Development Sales Tax Fund, <br />CALOP, Sewer Lateral and the Parking Garage Fund. <br /> <br />Recommendations made by the City Manager and the Finance Director for reducing the <br />deficit balance of the proposed budget was achieved by: personnel layoffs, fee increases, a <br />change from four to two bulk pick-ups a year. <br /> <br />The Council will receive a revised summary sheet on May 25, 2007. On June 1, 2007, a new <br />revised Budget Document will be distributed and will include information about the <br />undesignated Fund Balance (the Reserve Balance). <br /> <br />The Study Session was adjourned at 5:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Joyce Pumm <br />City Clerk <br />
