<br /> <br /> <br />MINUTES OF UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br />SPECIAL SESSION <br />April 23, 2007 <br /> <br />The Council Study Session, held in the Chambers of the City Hall, on Monday, April 23, 2007, <br />was called to order by City Manger, Ms. Julie Feier at 6:30 p.m. The following members of <br />the Council were present: <br /> Mr. Robert Wagner <br /> Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr. <br /> Ms. Stefany Brot <br /> Mr. Michael Glickert <br /> Mr. Byron Price <br /> Ms. Lynn Ricci <br /> Mayor Joseph Adams <br /> <br />The Study Session agenda was planned for University City’s citizens to be able to express <br />their ideas for the budget of Fiscal Year 2007 – 2008. Ms. Feier opened the meeting. <br /> <br />Speakers: <br />1. Richard Dockett <br />2. Worth Hayes <br />3. Patricia Merritt <br />4. Joan Botwinick <br />5. Sharon Lofton <br />6. Todd Gilyard <br />7. Barak Corbeth <br />8. Anne Marie Kiddon <br />9. Elsie Glickert <br />10. Stacy Clay <br />11. Wilma Kinnell <br />12. John Que <br />13. Linda Peoples <br /> <br />Topics of Concern -- 2007 – 2008 Budget <br />1. Brighter illumination in the Northeast quadrant <br />2. Extension of the Natatorium pool hours <br />3. Heman Pool entrance and exit be more accessible <br />4. Tree trimming <br />5. Alley paving <br />6. Street sweeping on a regular basis in the Northeast quadrant, with notices posted as <br />to when it is scheduled. <br />7. Affordable youth recreational programs <br />8. Speakers on non-agenda items be at the start of Council meetings <br />9. Citizen Advisory Committee on home repair programs <br />10. Allocation of funds for Feed the Hungry that is no longer funded by the CDBG grant <br />11. Pool issues – size of the steps on the pool ladders and a readable clock <br />12. Red Cross training for lifeguards <br />13. Window coverings for windows in Council Chambers as the sunlight angle is at its <br />worse during Council meetings. <br />14.
