Session 1831 <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />February 11,2002 <br /> <br />At a regular meeting of the City Council of University City held in the Council Chambers <br />of City Hall on Monday, February 11,2002, Mayor Joseph L. Adams called the meeting <br />to order at 7:30 p.m. In addition to the Mayor, the following members of the Council <br />were present: <br /> Ms. Cassandra Colquitt <br /> Mr. Wayne Munkel <br /> Mr. Robert Wagner <br /> Mr. Larry Lieberman <br /> Mr. Paul Schoomer <br /> Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr. <br /> <br />Also present was City Manager Frank Ollendorff. <br /> <br />MINUTES: <br /> <br />Mr. Munkel moved approval of the January 28 2002 regular session minutes. Mr. <br />Wagner seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />AMENDMENT OF PREVIOUSLY APPROVED MINUTES: <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner moved an amendment to the previously approved January 7, 2002 minutes. <br />The following statement should be added to the end of Hardy Ware's statement on page <br />3. under Citizen Comments: "U. City East requests that the City impose a moratorium <br />on any further residential home building with a single entry until this matter can be <br />researched further." Ms. Colquitt seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />GREEN CENTER STATUS REPORT: <br /> <br />Mr. Ollendorff reported that Ms. Shelley Welsch, Executive Director of the Green <br />Center, had presented a final report on the status of their three year commitment to the <br />City. The Green Center was to have invested $150,000 to the headquarters building by <br />December 31,2001 as a requirement of the lease. Ms. Welsch's report details how <br />they have fulfilled the terms of the lease. <br /> <br />Ms. Welsch, responding to Mr. Wagner, stated that further maintenance is not a <br />requirement of the lease, but has to be performed in order to meet City code. The lease <br />runs for 22 years with an option to renew for 25 years. <br /> <br /> <br />
