MINUTES OF UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />JUNE 4, 2007 <br /> <br />At the Regular Council Session of the City Council of University City held in the <br />Chambers of the City Hall, on Monday, June 4, 2007, Mayor Adams called the <br />meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. In addition to Mayor Adams, the following members of <br />the Council were present: <br /> Mr. Byron Price <br /> Ms. Lynn Ricci <br /> Mr. Robert Wagner <br /> Ms. Stefany Brot <br /> Mr. Michael Glickert <br /> Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr. <br /> <br />Also in attendance were City Manager, Ms. Julie Feier and University City High <br />School’s student liaison, Ms. Rachel Watson. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />May 14, 2007 budget study session minutes were moved for approval by Mr. <br />Sharpe, Jr., seconded by Mr. Glickert and approved unanimously. <br />May 18, 2007, budget study session minutes were moved for approval by Ms. Brot, <br />seconded by Mr. Sharpe, Jr. and approved unanimously. <br />May 21, 2007, regular session minutes were moved for approval by Mr. Sharpe, Jr., <br />seconded by Ms. Brot and approved unanimously. <br /> <br />APPOINTMENTS <br />Karen Dille was nominated for the Parks’ Commission by Ms. Ricci, seconded by <br />Mr. Sharpe, Jr. and approved unanimously. <br /> <br />Kathy Straatmann was nominated for the Board of Adjustment by Byron Price, <br />seconded by Mr. Wagner and approved unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />University City’s FY 2007 – 2008 Budget <br />Mr. Wagner asked to remove the proposed budget line item dealing with the <br />increased revenue from Heman Park pool. He did not want to slow down the <br />budget presentation and approval with opposition to this one item. Mr. Wagner <br />moved to remove the revenue gained from non-resident day-passes to Heman <br />Park pool from the FY 2008 proposed University City’s budget. His motion was <br />seconded by Mr. Glickert. There was a request for a division of the house and a <br />roll call was requested. The following roll call vote was for the removal of the <br />revenue listed for non-resident day-passes to Heman Park pool. <br />AYES: Mr. Wagner, Ms. Ricci, Mr. Glickert <br /> NAYS: Mr. Price, Ms. Brot, Mr. Sharpe, Jr., and Mayor Adams. <br />The removal of the revenue to be received from non-resident day-passes to <br />Heman Park pool was defeated.
