<br />MINUTES OF UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />May 21, 2007 <br /> <br />At the Regular Council Session of the City Council of University City held in the Chambers <br />of the City Hall, on Monday, May 21, 2007, Mayor Adams called the meeting to order at <br />6:30 p.m. In addition to Mayor Adams, the following members of the Council were present: <br /> Mr. Byron Price <br /> Mr. Robert Wagner <br /> Ms. Stefany Brot <br /> Mr. Michael Glickert <br /> Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr. <br />Ms. Ricci was excused from this meeting. <br /> <br />Also in attendance were City Manager, Ms. Julie Feier and University City High School’s <br />student liaison, Ms. Rachel Watson. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />April 30, 2007 study session minutes were moved for approval by Mr. Glickert, seconded <br />by Mr. Wagner and approved unanimously. <br />April 30, 2007, regular session minutes were moved for approval by Ms. Brot, seconded by <br />Mr. Wagner and approved unanimously. <br />May 7, 2007, study session minutes were moved for approval by Mr. Sharpe, Jr., <br />seconded by Ms. Brot and approved unanimously. <br />May 7, 2007, regular session minutes were moved for approval by Mr. Sharpe, Jr., <br />seconded by Ms. Brot and approved unanimously. <br /> <br />APPOINTMENTS <br />Jaime R. Mendez was nominated for the Board of Trustees Retirement Fund by Mr. <br />Wagner, seconded by Mr. Sharpe, Jr. and approved unanimously. <br /> <br />Carol Schmidt was nominated for the Historic Commission by Mayor Adams, seconded by <br />Mr. Wagner and approved unanimously. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />1. Comprehensive Plan Update – to address the issues, especially adjacent to the <br />Gatesworth development. <br />The Public Hearing was opened at 6:45 p.m. <br />Tom Malonn, 8677 Barby Lane <br />Mr. Malonn said his property is next to a vacant lot owned by Mr. Deutsch. He was <br />present to address the lack of landscaping on the vacant lot as was previously agreed <br />to by Mr. Deutsch. Mr. Malonn was concerned over his loss of easement, sidewalk and <br />guest parking. <br /> <br />Mark Frank, 8689 West Kingsbury Avenue <br />Mr. Frank supported the addition of the buffer lots and the cul-de-sacs. He felt that <br />when the project was completed property values would not decrease. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
