<br />RESOLUTION - 6 <br /> <br />The matter of the neighborhood improvement district in University Hills was <br />considered. <br /> <br />After a review and general discussion of the matter, Councilmember Ms. Brot <br />offered the following resolution and moved its adoption. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED: That the Council of the City of University City, Missouri, finds <br />and declares as follows: <br /> <br /> <br />1. On November 6, 2006, a neighborhood improvement district in University <br />Hills Subdivision (the “Subdivision”) was lawfully established by resolution, <br />and preliminary plans and specifications for the proposed improvement <br />were ordered to be made. <br /> <br />2. The general nature of the proposed improvement is as follows: <br /> Repair and replacement of curbs, gutters and driveway aprons that are <br />a) <br />significantly damaged, non-functional or exhibit more than minor <br />cracks, as determined by the Subdivision Trustees. <br /> Patching, repair and replacement of interface between the street and <br />b) <br />the concrete curbs gutter and driveway aprons in connection with the <br />repair and replacement of such curbs, gutters and driveway aprons <br />and in other areas where crumbling street interface exists, as <br />determined by the Subdivision Trustees. <br /> Selected street patching, repair and resurfacing of depressions, fatigue <br />c) <br />failure, street crowning and rutting, as determined by the Subdivision <br />Trustees. <br /> Application of a new layer of chip seal to all streets, as determined by <br />d) <br />the Subdivision Trustees. <br /> Management and supervision of construction of the improvements <br />e) <br />listed above and maintenance of the improvements listed above during <br />the construction period, to be performed by the Subdivision Trustees. <br /> Application of a future second layer of chip seal to all streets to be <br />f) <br />performed by the Subdivision Trustees, which application shall occur <br />after payment in full, by residents, of all assessments against the real <br />property within the neighborhood improvement district but within a <br />maximum timeframe of fifteen years. <br /> Establishment of a maintenance fund for the benefit of the residents <br />g) <br />and administered by the Subdivision Trustees to provide for the <br />application of a second layer of chip seal to all streets, which <br />application shall occur after payment in full of all assessments against <br />the real property within the neighborhood improvement district but <br />within a maximum timeframe of fifteen years. <br /> <br /> <br />
