RESOLUTION 2016 - 5 <br /> WHEREAS, the University City Loop has overcome many challenges over the <br /> last three decades to become a popular, diverse and successful district; and <br /> WHEREAS, the business owners, the citizens of University City and the members <br /> of this Council support the continued success of the Loop; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City and the members of this Council have received no notice that <br /> a new business is proposed for the space known as: "The Market Pub House" but r <br /> have seen coverage from social media that an establishment featuring nudity and <br /> serving alcohol is being considered for that space. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that this Council asks building owner Dan <br /> Wald and business owner John Racanelli to not open a business featuring nudity <br /> and serving alcohol in the Loop; and: <br /> FURTHERMORE, Council asks the City Manager to take any necessary legal <br /> action to prevent this establishment from opening in the Loop. <br /> Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of University City, Missouri this <br /> 22nd day of February, 2016. <br /> '`'f <br /> f <br /> Shelley Welsch, Mayor <br /> c�i <br /> • I,� 4. <br /> ATT T: ,�.- <br /> —i�J-4-r 1 <br /> t <br /> J..'e Puy Clerk <br /> j,J � '•rY <br />
