Session 1839 <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />May 6,2002 <br /> <br />At a regular meeting of the City Council of University City held in the Council Chambers <br />of City Hall on Monday, May 6, 2002, Mayor Joseph L. Adams called the meeting to <br />order at 7:30 p.m. In addition to the Mayor, the following members of the Council were <br />present: <br /> Ms. Cassandra Colquitt <br /> Mr. Wayne Munkel <br /> k/Ir. Robert Wagner <br /> Mr. Larry Lieberman <br /> k/Is. Shelley Welsch <br /> Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr. <br /> <br />Also present was City Manager Frank Ollendorff. <br /> <br />MINUTES: <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner moved approval of the April 22, 2002 regular session minutes. Mr. Sharpe <br />seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />OATH OF OFFICE: <br /> <br />The City Clerk administered the oath of office to the following citizens; <br /> <br />Ted Smorodin - Park Commission <br />Ron Heise - Historic Preservation Commission <br /> <br />The Mayor thanked each of these citizens for agreeing to serve, noting that their service <br />was important to the healthy functioning of the City. <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORTS: <br /> <br />AGENDA #1 - CONSENT CALENDAR: <br /> <br />#1- 81s' Street Curb Repair: Mr. Ollendorff requests approval to add to our current <br />sidewalk and curb replacement contract the amount of $24,000 to remove and replace <br />1,000 feet of curb and gutter on 81s' Street from Groby to Blancha. This work was <br />originally scheduled as part of this contract but was postponed until later in the fiscal <br />year to ensure that funds were available. <br /> <br />#2 - Starlight Concert Liquor Licenses: Mr. Ollendorff requests Council approval for the <br />annual picnic licenses to sell beer at the Monday night concerts. The beer sales are <br />conducted by the Arts & Letters Commission for the benefit of their projects. There <br /> <br /> <br />
