Session 1844 <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />June 17,2002 <br /> <br />At a regular meeting of the City Council of University City held in the Council Chambers <br />of City Hall on Monday, June 17, 2002, Mayor Joseph L. Adams called the meeting to <br />order at 7:30 p.m. In addition to the Mayor, the following members of the Council were <br />present: <br /> Ms. Cassandra Colquitt <br /> Mr. Wayne Munkel <br /> Mr. Robert Wagner <br /> Mr. Larry Lieberman <br /> Ms. Shelley Welsch <br /> Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr. <br /> <br />Also present was City Manager Frank Ollendorff. <br /> <br />MINUTES: <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner moved approval of the May 15, 2002 budget study session minutes. Ms. <br />Welsch seconded the motion. Mr. Munkel asked for a change on page 1 under Fire. <br />He asked that the $1,000 he requested be added to the Fire Department's budget be for <br />ropes and related equipment, not just for one rope. The motion to approve, as <br />amended, carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Munkel moved approval of the May 20, 2002 regular session minutes. Ms. Colquitt <br />seconded the motion. The motion to approve carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner moved approval of the June 3, 2002 regular session minutes. Mr. Sharpe <br />seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />PROCLAMATION: <br /> <br />Mayor Adams read a proclamation which designated George Neiman as an honorary <br />firefighter. George has been a Iongtime newspaper vendor in the Loop and for City <br />Hall, as well as being a friend of the Fire Department for many, many years. He was <br />attacked and stabbed a few weeks back and is in failing condition. Mr. Wagner moved <br />approval. Mr. Munkel seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORTS: <br /> <br />AGENDA #1 - CONSENT CALENDAR: <br /> <br />#1- Computer Hardware for City-Wide Network: Quotations have been received to <br />purchase miscellaneous computer and system hardware. Request for Quotations were <br /> <br /> <br />
