<br />? <br /> The first of these was under Administrative Services; Ms. Watson said that legal <br />services were under-budgeted for FY 07. <br /> <br />? <br /> The next large dollar item was under the Police Department, Fleet Service & <br />Replacement; she said there were more vehicle repairs than anticipated. In the same <br />department the 911 equipment broke down recently and had to be replaced. <br /> <br />? <br /> The fire department exceeded their budget in over-time pay because of unfilled <br />vacancies. <br /> <br />? <br /> The Public Works, Solid Waste increase was due to the purchase of single stream <br />carts. <br /> There were a couple of places were utilities showed up, being higher than <br /> budgeted. <br /> <br />? <br /> The Community Development went over in Professional Development because of a <br />large turnover in staff and had to use temporary services for lengthy period. Park <br />Maintenance, Admin & Forestry had larger expenses because of storm services. <br />Recreation Outside Personnel was under-budgeted as instructor salaries were higher <br />than anticipated. <br /> <br />? <br /> Grant matches required more money than was budgeted; grant money was spent earlier <br />in the year than expected. Emergency electrical outages, the City expensed $16,000 <br />earlier in grant cycle than had been anticipated. <br /> <br />? <br /> Olive TIF Central had a land acquisition added. <br /> <br />? <br /> Economic Development Sales Tax was received after the budget was received for FY <br />07, so the City chose to put the tax collected in a Special Fund in order to keep better <br />track its revenues and expenditures. <br /> <br />Ms. Watson explained that auditors would like the City to recognize items that were over <br />budget and make budget transfers. Ms. Watson suggested that the Council re-evaluate <br />which items would be required to come before the Council. <br /> <br />Ms. Ricci asked that Council Agenda Item title page be identified by the author. <br /> <br />Mr. Price moved for approval of the budget transfers, seconded by Mr. Glickert and was <br />approved unanimously. <br /> <br />2. Conditional Use Permit for 7245 Olive for Traffic Jams, authorizing the operation of a <br />car audio installation facility on the Northwest corner of George and Olive with four <br />conditions. <br />Mr. Sharpe, Jr. moved for approval, seconded by Mr. Glickert and was approved <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />3. City Council Schedule – Council discussed an additional Study Session requested by <br />Ms. Ricci for Council’s to review tools available in land development. This Study Session <br />will be Monday, September 24 at 5:30 p.m. in Council Chambers. <br />September 24, 2007 <br /> <br />
