<br />ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS <br />1. Before inspections can be made, all University City fines have to be paid. <br />2. Rental property owners are less cooperative in making needed corrections. <br />3. Community Development department has a higher volume of inspections than <br />the number of staff required to them quickly. <br />4. Reputable contractors will work in University City; it is the others that won’t. <br />5. Complaints from years ago still persist even though improvements have been <br />made. Educating University City’s residents is needed. The Community <br />Development department has prepared information sheets on: Property <br />Maintenance Code; Building Codes; Occupancy Permits and Inspections; Why <br />and When Do I Need a Permit; Electrical and Plumbing Permits; Building and <br />Mechanical Permits; and Responsibilities after Obtaining Permit. <br /> <br />The Study Session was adjourned at 9:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Joyce Pumm, City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
