MINUTES OF UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />September 24, 2007 <br /> <br />At the Regular Session of the City Council of University City held in the Chambers <br />of the City Hall, on Monday, September 04, 2007, Mayor Adams called the meeting <br />to order at 6:30 p.m. In addition to Mayor Adams, the following members of the <br />Council were present: <br /> Mr. Byron Price <br /> Ms. Lynn Ricci <br /> Mr. Robert Wagner <br /> Mr. Michael Glickert <br /> Ms. Stefany Brot <br /> Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr. <br />Also in attendance were City Manager Julie Feier, Director of Public Works Evelyn <br />Benford-Shields, Director of Human Resources Yolanda Williams, Director of <br />Community Planning Lehmann Walker and Deputy City Manger Janet Watson. <br /> <br />Absent was University City High School liaison, Ms. Rachel Watson. <br /> <br />D. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />September 4, 2007, regular session minutes, as amended, were moved for <br />approval by Ms. Ricci, seconded by Mr. Sharpe, Jr. and were approved <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />September 4, 2007, study session minutes were moved for approval by Mr. <br />Price, seconded by Mr. Glickert and were approved unanimously. <br /> <br />E. CONSENT AGENDA <br />The Strategic Planning, Green Center Lease amendments was pulled from the <br />Consent Calendar at the request of the City Manager Julie Feier, for additions. <br /> <br />The consent calendar consisted of renewal of contract for ATM machine at the <br />Parking Garage, the annual salt contract, the annual order for B5 Bio Diesel <br />Fuel, the annual leaf vacuuming contract. The ATM contract was with <br />Commerce Bank for five year period with a base rent of $12,150. The City <br />participates in a salt coop of 40 local municipalities for purchasing salt for the <br />winter. Unit price per ton is approximately $27 a ton with an estimate of 1,000 <br />ton usage, for a total cost of $27,030. The City of University City, in an effort to <br />protect the environment, reduce air pollution, and invest in domestic renewable <br />fuels, will switch to B5 Bio Diesel fuel.
