Session 1859 <br />November 4, 2002 <br /> <br />The bill was given its first reading and assigned number 8630. <br /> <br />3. A bill was introduced by Ms. Welsch, entitled: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 8.28 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE, <br />RELATING TO THE PROPERTY MAINTENANCE CODE, BY REPEALING <br />SUBSECTION PM-112.4.1 OF SECTION 8.28.020 THEREOF, RELATING TO <br />ISSUANCE OF PERMIT, AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW <br />SUBSECTION TO BE KNOWN AS "PM-112.4.1 ISSUANCE OF PERMIT," <br />THEREBY AMENDING SUBSECTION PM-112.4.1 SO AS TO REQUIRE THAT <br />ALL TAXES, FEES ETC., BE PAID BEFORE A PERMIT IS ISSUED; <br />CONTAINING A SAVING CLAUSE AND PROVIDING A PENALTY. <br /> <br />The bill was given its first reading and assigned number 8631. <br /> <br />4. A bill was introduced by Mr. Munkel, entitled: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE GRANTING, SELLING AND CONVEYING A PARCEL OF <br />LAND AT 6301 CLEMENS AVENUE TO PARKVIEW GARDENS <br />ASSOCIATION. <br /> <br />The bill was given its first reading and assigned number 8632. <br /> <br />5. A bill was introduced by Mr. Sharpe, entitled: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 8 OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY MUNICIPAL <br />CODE, RELATING TO HEALTH AND SAFETY, BY ENACTING THEREIN A <br />NEW CHAPTER TO BE KNOWN AS "CHAPTER 8.48 FIXED GUIDEWAY <br />TRANSIT AND PASSENGER RAIL SYSTEMS;" CONTAINING A SAVING <br />CLAUSE AND PROVIDING A PENALTY. <br /> <br />The bill was given its first reading and assigned number 8633. <br /> <br />MISCELLANEOUS REQUESTS AND ANNOUNCEMENTS: <br /> <br />Mr. Munkel requested that the City Manager have the City Attorney determine if there is <br />a way to strengthen housing laws which would require closure after one incident of drug <br />sales or serious drug use. <br /> <br />Mr. Munkel also asked the City manager to provide a report to Council about pesticides <br />and herbicides normally used by City Staff over the course of a year. <br /> <br />Mr. Sharpe asked Mr. Ollendorff if University City could refuse to utilize pesticides <br />provided by the County.
