RESOLUTION 2016 - 13 <br /> WHEREAS, Chiodini Architects was hired Dec. 8, 2014 to perform a facility analysis on a <br /> Police Station for the City of University City, Missouri; and <br /> WHEREAS, Chiodini Architects presented their final report, Facility Analysis Report, to <br /> the City Council on March 14, 2016: and <br /> WHEREAS, based on the March 14, 2016 Chiodini Architects report, Facility Analysis <br /> Report, the Administration recommended that the City Council approve building a new <br /> Police Station over the renovation of the Annex in which the Police Station is currently <br /> located; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council voted on June 27, 2016 to delay the decision to vote on the <br /> financial advisor and bond counsel for the building of the new Police Station using <br /> General Obligation Bonds until an independent consultant was hired to review the <br /> March 14, 2016 Chiodini Architects report, Facility Analysis Report, with regard to the <br /> projected costs of the alternatives presented in the said report, allowing 45 days to <br /> complete the review; <br /> is <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> UNIVERSITY CITY, ST. LOUIS, COUNTY, MO, AGREES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> The City will provide funding of up to $40,000 out of the general reserve fund to <br /> hire a consultant to review the March 14, 2016 Chiodini Architects report, Facility <br /> Analysis Report, with regard to the costs of the alternatives presented; and <br /> The City Manager of the City of University City will assist in selecting the consultant by <br /> preparing a Request for Qualifications with the input of the council members and <br /> advertising the said RFQ, after the scope of the study has been determined by the <br /> majority of Council. <br /> This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage by the City <br /> Council. <br /> Adopted this day of July 11, 2016.
