INTRODUCED BY: Councilmember Glickert DATE: November 14, 2016 <br /> BILL NO. 9299 ORDINANCE NO. 7025 <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CERTAIN PROVISIONS OF <br /> THE UNIVERSITY CITY MUNICIPAL CODE, TO COMPLY <br /> WITH MISSOURI SENATE BILL NO. 572 RELATING TO <br /> NUISANCE, MUNICIPAL ORDINANCE VIOLATIONS AND <br /> MUNICIPAL COURT FINES. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> WHEREAS, Missouri Senate Bill No. 572 was enacted into law during the 2016 <br /> Session of the Missouri General Assembly; and <br /> WHEREAS, Senate Bill No. 572 includes revisions to state law affecting <br /> nuisances and municipal court fines; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Council of the City of University City desire to update the City of <br /> University City Municipal Code to reflect the changes to state law as set forth herein. <br /> Language to be deleted from the Code is represented as g-14; language to <br /> be added to the Code is emphasized. This Ordinance contemplates no revisions to the <br /> Code other than those so designated; any language or provisions from the Code <br /> omitted from this Ordinance is represented by an ellipsis and remains in full force and <br /> effect. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1. <br /> Subsection 100.190 of the Municipal Code of the City of University City, is hereby <br /> repealed and a new Subsection 100.190 is enacted in lieu thereof, to read as follows: <br /> Chapter 100. Whenever in this Code or any other ordinance of the City, or in any rule, regulation, <br /> notice or order promulgated by any officer or agency of the City under authority duly <br /> vested in him/her or it, any act is prohibited or is declared to be unlawful or an offense, <br /> misdemeanor or ordinance violation or the doing of any act is required or the failure to <br /> do any act is declared to be unlawful or an offense, misdemeanor or ordinance violation, <br />
