A bill was introduced by Councilmember Lieberman entitled:

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 15.04 OF THE UNIVERSITY
CITY MUNICIPAL CODE, RELATING TO THE BUILDING CODE, BY
ENACTING THEREIN A NEW SUBSECTION OF SECTION 15.04.030 TO
BE KNOWN AS "3304.7 TEMPORARY CONSTRUCTION FENCES;"
CONTAINING A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND PROVIDING A PENALTY.

The bill was given its first reading and assigned number 8635.

Mayor Adams suggested a location in Clayton where the Council could see an
application of the proposed bill.

Mr. Lieberman wanted to know if a bill to provide a senior discount rate for refuse
rates was being prepared. Mr. Ollendorff replied that it was.

After the Mayor announced that the next regular session would be December 2,
2002 at 7:30, a question arose as to whether or not a quorum of
Councilmembers would be present. He then advised that the next session might
be cancelled.

Mr. Ollendorff said that a decision about an additional leaf pick up in the eastern
section would be made the next day and that the information would be in their
packet. He also said that November and December bags of leaves would be
picked up for free.

The Mayor inquired about the use of contract workers. Mr. Ollendorff answered
that there hadn't been many.
