Session 1861
November 18, 2002

Overland (Mr. Robert Dody), had spoken to Pagedale, and was in the
process of meeting with the Alderman of the city of St. Louis. He also said
that the city of Shrewsbury was aware of the plan.

Councilmember Sharpe asked if this proposal would affect the current
timeline. Mr. Currier said the project could still on schedule if it used a
design build type of construction for the light rail. He also said that he was
unsure of details on Bus Rapid Transit but that it wouldn't involve much
construction.

Councilmember Lieberman asked if this group had ever considered the
southern route which had once been strongly considered by East-West
Gateway. Mr. Currier said they did not because that plan had been studied
before while this option had never been explored. He added that the
savings and the ability to serve additional communities added value to this
choice.

CITY CLERK'S DOCKET:

BILLS FOR SECOND AND THIRD READINGS:

BILL NO. 8629 - AMENDING CHAPTER 34 OF THE MUNICIPAL
CODE OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY, RELATING TO
ZONING, BY REPEALING SECTIONS AND THEREOF RELATING
TO THE DESCRIPTIONS THEREAFTER: 34-56.2 -
DIMENSIONAL REGULATIONS (FOR ACCESSORY
STRUCTURES) AND 34-30.4 CONDITIONAL USES IN THE SR
DISTRICT; 34-106.2(4) - PRIMARY SIGNS - FREESTANDING
PRIMARY SIGNS; 34-106.3(5) - SECONDARY SIGNS - TEMP.
PROMOTIONAL DISPLAYS; 34-78 - HISTORIC PRESERVATION
- PERMIT TO DEMOLISH; 34-72.4 - HISTORIC PRESERVATION
COMMISSION POWERS AND DUTIES; 34-61 - FENCE
REGULATIONS; 34-10 - DEFINITIONS - PASSENGER VEHICLE,
PRIVATE; 34-10- DEFINITIONS - RECREATIONAL EQUIPMENT,
MAJOR AND 34-93.4 - PROHIBITED OFF-STREET PARKING
ACTIVITIES AND USES; 34-55.1 - GENERAL SETBACK
EXCEPTIONS FOR REAR AND SIDE YARDS; 34-64.4(9) -
PERMITTED USES (TELECOMMUNICATIONS ANTENNAS); 34-
10 - DEFINITIONS - MINOR MOTOR VEHICLE REPAIRS; 34-
37.5(2) - "CC" DISTRICT BUILDING SETBACK REQUIREMENTS;
34-104.1 - PROHIBITED SIGNS (CRUDE OR AMATEURISH); 34-
104.2 - PERMITTED SIGNS (CONSTRUCTION SIGNS); 34-110.2
ZONING ADMINISTRATOR DUTIES; 34-10 - DEFINITIONS -
RESALE/THRIFT SHOPS AND TATOO PARLOR AND 34-36.4
CONDITIONAL USES IN THE GC DISTRICT AND 34-37.4
CONDITIONAL USES IN THE CC DISTRICT AND 34-38.4
