<br /> <br /> <br />To: Honorable Mayor Adams and City Council <br /> <br />From: Julie Feier, City Manager <br /> <br />Date: October 26, 2007 <br /> <br />Subject: Weekly Update <br /> <br /> <br />In order to solicit public participation for the Olive Blvd. Design Guidelines, the project <br />consultant and the Community Development staff have developed an online survey and <br />posted it on the City’s website for one month. A paper copy of the survey will be made <br />available upon request to those without internet access. The attached flyer will be <br />distributed to all Olive Blvd. property owners, all neighborhood organizations, <br />community groups, business associations, board and commission members and posted <br />in various locations throughout the City. A media release announcing the survey will <br />also be distributed. Results of the survey will be used to develop design standards for <br />the Olive Boulevard corridor. The standards will help to change the physical <br />appearance of Olive Boulevard. To take the survey, follow the link -- <br />http://www.zoomerang.com/recipient/survey-intro.zgi?p=WEB2272465G9AX The survey <br />will be online until mid-November. <br /> <br />blighting analysis on the Olive Blvd TIF <br />As a follow up to the preliminary properties, I <br />have included the blighting analysis memorandum from PGAV Urban Consulting <br />summarizing the preliminary blighting findings. The final report should be complete by <br />the end of November 2007. At which time, Mr. Walker will schedule a joint meeting of <br />the TIF Commission and LCRA to consider acquisition of identified properties. <br /> <br />joint session with the School District <br />In order to prepare for our I have prepared <br />some sample joint initiatives.
