L <br /> INTRODUCED BY: Councilmember Jennings DATE: January 9, 2017 <br /> BILL NO.: 9303 ORDINANCE NO.: 7029 <br /> AN ORDINANCE CLARIFYING THAT THE COMPENSATION FOR THE POSITION OF <br /> CITY MANAGER UNDER ORDINANCE NO. 7012 SHALL BE PAID TO AN <br /> ACTING CITY MANAGER OR INTERIM CITY MANAGER. <br /> WHEREAS, on July 11, 2016, the City Council passed Ordinance No. 7012 fixing the <br /> compensation for the position of City Manager; and <br /> WHEREAS, on November 28, 2016, the City Council suspended the City Manager <br /> and appointed an Acting City Manager; and <br /> WHEREAS, an Acting City Manager or Interim City Manager has all of the powers and <br /> duties of the position of City Manager; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Acting City Manager has been entitled to the compensation fixed for the <br /> position of City Manager under Ordinance No. 7012; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council desires to clarify that the compensation fixed for the <br /> position of City Manager under Ordinance No. 7012 shall be paid to an Acting City Manager or <br /> Interim City Manager. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> UNIVERSITY CITY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1. The compensation fixed for the position of City Manager under Ordinance No. 7012 <br /> shall be paid to an Acting City Manager or Interim City Manager. <br /> Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage as provided <br /> by law. <br /> } <br />
