Two vendors responded and the bid results are as <br />follows: <br /> BID RESULTS: <br />Company Tires <br />Bay Tire $70,542.50 <br />Froesel Tire $82,780.00 <br />The Fleet Maintenance Division has worked with Bay Tire previously. Their tires <br />are of an acceptable quality and have not been recently involved in any known <br />recalls. Bay Tires is a minority owned company that has been in business since <br />1935. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br /> Public Works staff recommends the contract be awarded <br />to Bay Tire in the amount of $70,542.50. <br /> <br />
