employment terminated after they became eligible for retirement pursuant to this <br />chapter, and their beneficiaries other than children, shall receive a monthly benefits <br />increase of twenty dollars ($20), provided such retirees and beneficiaries were <br />receiving benefits as of July 1, 1998. <br />D. Effective July 1, 2000, all retirees who retired prior to December 31, 1999, and whose <br />employment terminated after they became eligible for retirement pursuant to this <br />chapter, and their beneficiaries other than children, shall receive a monthly benefit <br />increase of the greater of five percent (5%) or forty dollars ($40), provided such retirees <br />and beneficiaries were receiving benefits as of July 1, 2000. <br />E. Effective July 1, 2003, all retirees who retired prior to January 1, 2003, and whose <br />employment terminated after they became eligible for retirement pursuant to this <br />chapter, and their beneficiaries other than children, shall receive a monthly benefits <br />increase of twenty dollars ($20), provided such retirees and beneficiaries were <br />receiving benefits as of January 1, 2003. <br />F. Effective July 1, 2007, all retirees who retired prior to January 1, 2007, and whose <br />employment terminated after they became eligible for retirement pursuant to this <br />chapter, and their beneficiaries other than children, shall receive a monthly benefits <br />increase of twenty dollars ($25), provided such retirees and beneficiaries were <br />receiving benefits as of January 1, 2007. <br />Section 2.
