Session 1876 <br />April 21,2003 <br /> <br />Ms. Welsch asked if there had been bids. Mr. Ollendorff explained that, generally, <br />professional services contract are not put out to bid; two to five specialized firms are <br />interviewed and the most qualified is selected. <br /> <br />Mayor Adams called for the vote and the contract was approved unanimously. <br /> <br />CITIZEN COMMENTS: <br /> <br />Terry White, 6924 Bartmer, complained that her "go cart" had been stolen again, about <br />derelict cars in the rear yards of 6912, 6914, 6916 and 6920 Corbitt and requested <br />action by the City. <br /> <br />Richard Dockett, 6844 Crest Avenue, stated that on April 11, 2003 he observed a <br />police officer throwing drug paraphernalia into a sewer in front of 6853 Bartmer and <br />releasing the subject. <br /> <br />Barbara Heise, 920 Golf Course Drive, provided her recount of the April 11 incident at <br />6901 Bartmer and her conversation with Mr. Dockett. <br /> <br />Kathy Straatman, 6823 Crest, thanked City Hall for help with the Roth-Grove <br />Neighborhood Association Clean-Up Day and Sherwin-Williams and Brod-Duggan for <br />the donated paint, brushes, etc. She requested assistance with resolving their <br />concerns. <br /> <br />Fred Lewis, 7065 Camden Court, spoke on behalf of the University City Sports <br />Association and in praise of plans to improve recreation facilities. He asked if <br />responses to the survey would be used in planning. Mayor Adams explained that the <br />survey responses will be given to the Prop K Committee who in turn will make <br />recommendations to Council; after that, decisions will be based on feasibility. <br /> <br />Ms Welsch and Mr. Wagner asked for regular reports by the Police Department on its <br />response to the April 11 incident and to other drug houses. <br /> <br />CITY CLERK'S DOCKET: <br /> <br />BILLS FOR SECOND AND THIRD READINGS: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />BILLS FOR INTRODUCTION: <br /> <br />1.
