Session 1879 <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />May 3, 2003 <br /> <br />At a duly posted study session of the City Council of University City held in Room <br />6, on the second floor of City Hall, Saturday, May 3, 2003, Mayor Joseph L. <br />Adams called the meeting to order at 8:00 a.m. In addition to Mayor Adams, the <br />following members of Council were present: <br /> <br />Mr. Wayne A. Munkel (arrived at 9:10 a.m.' <br />Mr. Robert Wagner <br />Mr. Lawrence Lieberman <br />Ms. Shelley Welsch <br />Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr. <br /> <br />The City Manager Mr. Frank Ollendorff was present via teleconferencing at 9:30 <br />a.m. Excused: Ms. Colquitt. <br /> <br />AGENDA #1 - PROP K. <br /> <br />It was the sense of the Council that: <br /> <br />· The engineering and design of the main pool and baby pool should <br /> occur simultaneously. However, construction of the baby pool will <br /> be delayed if its completion would detract from improvements to the <br /> main pool. <br />· There will be one ramp, wider than required for A.D.A. compliance, <br /> with one handrail and will be located on the left side of the pool. <br />· The baby pool area will be at least three times larger, remain on the <br /> west side, have a shade/canopy, some water toys and a separate <br /> filtration system that will be designed at the same time as the main <br /> pool. <br />· Seating will be of a non-permanent nature to allow for flexibility <br />· The sprinkler park should be separate from the baby pool. <br />· There will be 2-one meter diving boards <br />· There will be both deck and underwater lighting. <br /> <br />Mayor Adams adjourned the meeting at 9:20 a.m. <br /> <br />Leisha Forsythe <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
