Name recognition may be hard to quantify <br />but it is where economic development work begins. The <br />community has a story to tell and a pitch to offer about investing <br />in, locating in, and doing business in U City. Generally, businesses <br />and the development community understand what makes U City <br />“tick,” who it is, and why it works so well. U City has a distinct <br />advantage over towns where Step 1 is introducing yourself. U <br />City’s economic development approach should build on its well known <br />and established brand and community identity, and tailor <br />recruitment efforts to expressing how an individual business’s <br />potential success fits within what has made U City successful for <br />Page 8 of 9 <br /> <br /> <br />
