<br />EQUITY <br /> <br />3/3/16 CPAC Meeting: <br />“Decision-making should take into consideration the principles of racial and economic equity.” <br /> <br />Suggestion by Ben Senturia (5/2016): <br /> “U City will develop a way to continually assure that racial equity will be a consideration in all <br />of its decisions. The application of this principle will be reviewed on a regular basis.” <br /> <br />Staff Proposal: <br />“Policy-making will take into consideration the principles of racial and economic equity <br />continually. The application of this principle will be reviewed on a regular basis using a to-be- <br />identified benchmarking process.” <br /> <br />To be incorporated into the “Guiding Principles” section (p. 3); “Vision” section (p. 28); <br /> <br />and “Day-To-Day Use” section in Implementation chapter (p. 94) <br /> <br />Add at least one bullet pertinent to equity to the list of objectives on the first page of <br /> <br />every plan element (could be a summarizing phrase drawn from the sidebar regarding <br />equity) <br /> <br />Recommendation - To develop a benchmarking process <br /> <br /> <br />
