Comprehensive Plan Advisory Committee (CPAC) Meeting Summary
August 10, 2016 @ 6:30 pm
University City Public Library Auditorium
_____________________________________________________________________________________
CPAC and Comprehensive Plan Committee (CPC) Members Present: Cirri Moran (Chair), Linda Locke
(Facilitator), Donna Marin, Patricia McQueen, Ed Schmidt, Kevin Taylor, Mae Etta Weston, Rosalind
Williams, Rick Salamon
Staff Present: Ray Lai (Deputy Director of Community Development), Anny Ma (Intern)
Others in attendance: Council Member Paulette Carr, Samuel Jones (Plan Commission Member)
____________________________________________________________________________________
1.Ms. Moran stated that CPAC had to decide how to proceed due to the major revisions required
of the consultant’s draft document by CPAC. The options discussed included a re-write by CPAC,
a request for additional City funding for consultant’s work on revisions, or a hybrid of both
options e.g. short-term staff.
2. Discussion of the revised sections proposed by the CPAC Sub-committee, continued from last
CPAC meeting on 7/13/16, did not take place as planned. Instead, group discussion on the
points of disappointment on the consultant’s work (see attachment) was held for consideration
by the Plan Commission if additional funding was to be requested.
3. Ms. Moran would draft a memo with the options and points of disappointment discussed and
circulate among CPAC members before presenting it for consideration by the Plan Commission.
4. The CPAC meeting originally scheduled for 8/15/16 will not be held.

(Meeting adjourned at 7:55 pm)
