Comprehensive Plan Advisory Committee (CPAC) Meeting Summary July 13, 2016 @ 6:30 pm University City Public Library Auditorium _____________________________________________________________________________________ CPAC and Comprehensive Plan Committee (CPC) Members Present: Cirri Moran (Chair), Ben Senturia (Vice-Chair), Donna Marin, Patricia McQueen, Ed Schmidt, Kevin Taylor, Mae Etta Weston, Jeff Zacks, Linda Locke (Facilitator), Rosalind Williams, Rick Salamon Staff Present: Andrea Riganti (Director of Community Development), Ray Lai (Deputy Director of Community Development) Others in attendance: Mike Miller (Plan Commission Member) ____________________________________________________________________________________ 1. Ms. Locke facilitated the CPAC group discussion of the revised sections drafted by a CPAC Sub- Committee comprised of Linda Locke, Rosalind Williams, and Ben Senturia. This Sub- th Committee was formed at the May 182016 CPAC meeting to perform an in-depth review of the draft plan on certain sections (“Vision Statement”- pp. 27-28, “U City is Well-Known”- p. 89, “Day-to-Day Use”- p. 94 , and “Equity” concept), and propose revised language for full CPAC consideration and action. Due to the time constraints, only a portion of the Sub-Committee’s work was discussed (see attached marked-up). Two more CPAC meetings should be scheduled to continue review and discussion of the proposed text of the Sub-Committee. Some of the CPAC members suggested that additional language be provided by the Sub-Committee on certain sections. 2. Staff will poll CPAC for two more review meetings on the Sub-Committee‘s draft. (Although 8/10 and 8/15 meetings were later scheduled, the meeting on 8/15 was subsequently cancelled) (Meeting adjourned at 10:08 pm)
