Mr. Munkel seconded the motion, <br />which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />CITIZEN COMMENTS: <br /> <br />Kathy Straatman, 6823 Crest, wished to thank everyone for attending their Roth Grove <br />celebration on the 8th. She thanked Mr. Sharpe for sending a memorandum to people in <br />the neighborhood regarding people and children in the street. She wondered if the <br />police department were told of this memo and to increase enforcement. Kids of all ages <br />are in the streets and are putting themselves in danger. They are experiencing some <br />retaliation from some of these children's parents whom are saying that they have a right <br />to be in the street if they choose. They will continue to come to the meetings and voice <br />their concerns. <br /> <br />Gretchen LaBelle, 7353 Dorset, brought by a petition of people opposed to building the <br />recreation facility at the high school. Most people signed this for one of two reasons, <br />either this was not what they thought they voted for on Proposition K. The other was <br />from people in this neighborhood who could imagine the traffic problems. <br /> <br />Fred Lewis, 7065 Camden, wished to make a few comments on Proposition K. Heman <br />Park is the prime location for the recreation facility. He has coached at the high school <br />for the past sixteen years. He hopes that the recreation facility that we have a program <br />that will provide guidance and organization for athletes and other participants.
