<br />minutes show that more research will be done and be expected regarding follow-up for the project. Mr. <br />Edwards indicated that he would get public support for the sign and come back with additional information such <br />as cost, design details, and electricity information, who pays for it, and other details. <br />The Board also discussed the Create Space $50,000 reserves recommended by staff. Create Space will have <br />to come back to the Board to provide an update and status report on the programs and construction before the <br />additional $50,000 will be recommended for approval. Staff will work on a number of metrics for Create Space. <br />Reports <br />a. City Council Liaison <br />Mayor Welsch stated the city will relocate the Police Department by fall. The city approved the option to <br />construct a new police facility, estimated to cost $12.5 million. There is $7million set aside in reserves for that <br />purpose, leaving a funding gap. Council will work to identify how to obtain the additional funds .Ms. Riganti <br />stated that the police facility is not mandated to be in a certain location, such as in the center of the City. Staff <br />identified potential sites and is in confidential discussions. . <br />Councilmember Steven Kraft will be stepping down in the future. No process has been discussed about how <br />to appoint his successor. <br />The budget review will occur over the next 6-7 weeks. Fair UCity, Jazz Festival (proceeds to UCity Comm. <br />Foundation, are setting up their inaugural board and looking for people in the city to serve on that board.) <br />b. Staff Report <br />Ms. Lloyd announced the Spring Lion Pages will be out soon with a new listing of businesses in the <br />community. There will be a neighborhood cleanup in the Loop, Sat.
