Market Visitors watch the Chefs create, sample the dishes, and then choose their favorites with
Patrons could watch the chefs cook and cheer them on to the finish.
Bonus Event: Snapple Teacision 2016! Dr. Pepper Snapple, Inc chose our event to host their Teacision 2016. We were the
only location in St. Louis where they brought their Branded Snapple Teacision Bus and they spent the day sampling two new
natural, fruit flavored teas. It brought a lot of attention to the area.
Sullivan Farms Christmas Tree Lot: proud of this accomplishment. Within three short weeks of finding out
that the Long Acre Farm produce stand was going to move their business to a new location, we were able to make
arrangements for Sullivan Farms to bring their Christmas Tree Lot to the area for the November-December Holiday Season.
Customers, residents, market vendors and local businesses were understandably concerned about the potential negative
impact the relocation of the long-standing produce business would have on the immediate area.
So we rolled up our sleeves and got to work. We cleaned, made repairs, and got necessary inspections and permits. We
marketed in the WEW, as well participated in joint Loop marketing efforts. We were met with a very positive response from
residents in University City and surrounding communities when we announced that the Sullivan Farms Christmas Tree Lot
would be opening Thanksgiving weekend. It remained open for business through December 24.
Sullivan Farms contributed to the promotion of their new location in University City by including the announcement in a direct
mailer to approximately 500,000 residents in the greater St. Louis region.
Special Events: We continued our annual events for families and children. These are great opportunities for us to partner
with local businesses, community groups and organizations. Events this quarter included the Halloween Happening and the
Holiday Farmers Market
