The new <br />lights are brighter and span the entire sidewalk. In addition, Public Works and Community Development drafted a bid quote <br />sheet for the new bus shelters and met with Metro to determine feasibility of new shelter locations. Also, public art/garden <br />posters will installed in each bus shelter. This is a first step to add public art to Olive Blvd. The City paid to have the posters <br />printed, UCIB provided the images. <br />Please describe milestones achieved during this reporting period: <br />Pedestrian-scale lights were installed. Bus shelter feasibility conducted. Meetings with Metro and staff identified seven <br />potential locations for the new shelters. In early fourth quarter (May) staff will receive shelter and installation quotes for the <br />new shelters. <br />Also describe project goals achieved: <br />New LED lighting installed on Olive Blvd. Starting process for new bus shelters and determining locations.
