Session 1899
October 20, 2003

8686 was passed unanimously and given the Ordinance Number 6454.

BILLS FOR INTRODUCTION:

1. A bill was introduced by Mr. Wagner, entitled:

AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A FINAL SUBDIVISION PLAT OF A
TRACT OF LAND TO BE KNOWN AS "VILLAS AT NOB HILL" AND A
1100 EIGHTY FIRST STREET.

The bill was given its first reading and was assigned Number 8687.

Patsy A. Hodges, 1045 Glenside Place, a citizen, reported she and other citizens
in the community are concerned about what, exactly, is to be built on this site,
which is behind her home. There seems to be confusion as to when and where
the plans can be studied by interested citizens. Mr. Ollendorff said the public
hearing was held a long time ago, but citizens were advised the matter would be
on the docket for this evening's meeting to keep them apprised of the progress of
this matter. Ms. Colquitt pointed out that Ms. Hodges had received a letter
advising her that this issue was to be discussed at this evening's meeting, which
lead Ms. Hodges to another conclusion. Mr. Wagner saw the letter and felt that it
was not clearly stated and caused confusion, but assured Ms Hodges that
citizens have the right to visit the office of the City Manager to view the plans for
the site. Mayor Adams added that the developers would display plans after this
Council meeting for citizens to view. He affirmed that plans would not be
approved until the next Council meeting and that she could raise questions
relating to plans then.

2. A bill was introduced by Mr. Sharpe, entitled:

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 2.66 OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY
MUNICIPAL CODE, RELATING TO PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT FEES,
BY REPEALING SECTION 2.66.050(b) THEREOF, RELATING TO BUILDING
PERMIT FEE SCHEDULE, AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW
SECTION WITH THE SAME SECTION NUMBER AND TITLE, THEREBY
AMENDING SAID SECTIONS SO AS TO ADDING PLANNING AND
DEVELOPMENT FEES FOR FEES FOR FENCE PERMITS TO COVER THE
COST OF PROVIDING A PENALTY.

The bill was given its first reading and assigned the Number 8688.

3: A bill was introduced by Mr. Wagner, entitled:

Page 10
