Text Amendment to Section 34-40(7) Density in the “PD” – Planned Development District Page 5 of 5
discrepancy and the proposed resolution. Any discrepancies between the two sets
of regulations and the resolution thereof shall be set forth in the map amendment
ordinance and/or the resolution approving the development. The resolution
thereof shall be pursuant to staff recommendation or as set forth by the plan
commission in the map amendment ordinance. (Ord. 6530 § 1 (part), 2005)
The above changes in the “PD” – regulations will take away the underlying requirement that
density cannot be increased above the existing density (which totally undermines the whole point
of the district and prohibits increased and varied density).
Summary:
Staff propose that the change to the text of the “Planned Development District be adopted to
encourage increased and varied density.
__________ Reviewed and approved by Lehman Walker, Director of Community Development
Q:\WPOFFICE\WPDATA\x-34-40-7 text am density.plc.doc
