March 28, 2008 <br />Ms. Joyce Pumm, City Clerk Re: Application for Text Amendment <br />City of University City Setbacks for Air Conditioning Units <br />6801 Delmar Boulevard 34-55(1)(4)(c) <br />University City, MO 63130 <br />Dear Ms. Pumm: <br />At its regular meeting on Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at 6:30 p.m. in the Emergency <br />Operations Center of City Hall, 6801 Delmar Boulevard, the City Plan Commission conducted a <br />hearing on an application by the City of University City for a text amendment to Zoning Code <br />Section 34-55(1)(4)(c) concerning setback requirements for air conditioning units. <br />A motion was made by Ms. Greening, seconded by Mr. Byrne and passed by a vote of 5 to 0 that <br />bolded <br />the Plan Commission recommend approval of the text amendment as follows (wording is <br />addition; stricken wording is deleted): <br />. <br />34-55.1 General setback exceptions <br />Every part of a yard between the property lines and the required building setback line shall <br />be unoccupied and unobstructed by any structure or portion of a structure from ground <br />level of the graded lot upward, except for: <br />4. Side Yards. <br />one foot <br />c.
